Background and aim: Education in medical sciences is a combination of knowledge and art that requires practice in realistic environments. Learning in clinical settings is recognized as a fundamental component of the medical students' educational curriculum. This study aimed to explore the perspectives of medical students regarding the clinical rounds at Yasuj University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This qualitative study, based on conventional content analysis, was conducted among medical students (9 interns and 7 residents) at Yasuj University of Medical Sciences in 2023. Participants were selected through purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected using semi-structured individual interviews. The analysis was performed following the framework of Graneheim and Lundman. The credibility and trustworthiness of the data were ensured using Guba and Lincoln's criteria. Data analysis was conducted using MAXQDA 10 software. Results: Two main categories and five subcategories were identified. The category "Strengths of Clinical Rounds" included three subcategories: effective educational processes, the use of clinical teaching methods, and the training of essential skills. Conversely, the category "Challenges of Clinical Rounds" encompassed two subcategories related to issues faced by faculty members and students. Conclusion: The results indicate two key areas in clinical rounds. On one hand, strengths include effective teaching methods and essential skills that enhance the quality of clinical education. On the other hand, challenges arise from issues related to faculty and student interactions. Addressing these aspects could lead to improvements in the clinical education experience and the enhancement of clinical skills.
