Abstract:
Background and purpose: Considering the existence of evidence based on the relationship between the consumption of probiotics and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, as well as the role of inflammatory pathways in this context, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the consumption of probiotics on the level of interferon beta as an inflammatory marker in Rats were induced to steatosis.
Materials and methods: In this laboratory study, 32 laboratory mice were randomly divided into 4 groups: healthy control, steatosis control, healthy probiotic, and steatosis probiotic (n = 8). To model fatty liver, tetracycline drug was used by gavage for 7 days. Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus109 CFU/ml gavage was used 5 days a week for 5 weeks as reprobiotic induction. Beta interferon serum level after killing Animals were collected and examined.
Results: The results showed that interferon beta index in the steatosis group was significantly higher than the control group (p < 0.001). This finding was also observed in the groups receiving probiotics (p < 0.001).
Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, the consumption of probiotic Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus moderates the inflammatory index of interferon beta in rats with fatty liver steatosis.
