Background and Objective:
A one percent reduction in the mortality rate requires extensive management and more facilities. With regards to the importance of the subject, the purpose of this study was to design a management questionnaire for pregnant mothers.
Method:
To accomplish the present study which was conducted using a descriptive-comparative method, three countries (Iran, Japan, and the United Kingdom) were selected among the leading countries using cluster sampling based on population and availability of information. Required data were collected through referring to the official site, scientific journals, books and databases, and identified the dimensions and indicators that affect health care management and were ranked by experts. Subsequently, with the opinion of specialists and experts, the initial questionnaire was compiled and re-approved by the experts. Data from the field study were analyzed using statistical methods (confirmatory factor analysis and structural equations) and the final model was extracted.
Results:
In this study, the reliability of the reagents, the composite reliability of the initial conceptual model, the convergent validity of the model and the differential validity are confirmed. Among the constructs defined for the purpose of explaining the management of prenatal health care, based on the structural coefficient of the structural model, the management of the provision of care and then the contents of the package, the care provided is the most influential, after which the IT system, facilities and equipment, human resources and Financial resources have the least impact. The importance-performance assessment of prenatal care management showed that the highest performance was related to the management of prenatal health care and the lowest performance related to the IT system. In terms of total effects, the greatest effect is on care delivery management and the least effect on human resources.
Conclusion:
Managers in Kohgiluyeh and Vejahmad Province should focus on structures that are important, but their performance is poor. The results show that provincial executives should pay particular attention to improving the structures of the IT system, facilities, and human resources.
