Different drugs and methods are used to treat this disease, nevertheless there is still no cure. The aim of this study was to compare the therapeutic effect of topical Minoxidil 2% solution in the treatment of alopecia areata on the scalp with rosemary solution. Methods: The present clinical-trial study was conducted on 78 patients with Alopecia Areata. Block randomization was designed in two groups of four Minoxidil 2% (n=39) and Rosemary (n=39). During the initial evaluation, patients were assessed in terms of location, number and extent of lesions by a dermatologist, and then the data were recorded. Patients in the intervention group were administered rosemary, as well as those in the control group were given Minoxidil 2%. The patients were instructed to apply the medication to the lesion twice a day. The lesion was re-evaluated two months later. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 18 as well as T-test and Chi-square test and descriptive statistics. Results: There were no significant differences in terms of mean age, mean duration of disease, and alopecia conflict in the patients of two groups (p>0.05). There was no significant difference in cure rates between the two groups (05/0 p>0.05). Conclusions: The findings of this study revealed that both Rosemary and Minoxidil had the same effects on alopecia areata. The aim of this study is to define the IGF-1 effect on in vitro maturation, fertilization and development of mice immature oocytes to 2-cells in TCM199 medium cultures. Methods: In this study 4 week old NMRI mice were used. Ovaries stimulation carried out using PMSG. GV oocytes with or without cumulus cells were isolated from ovaries and cultured in TCM199 in presence of 100 ng IGF-1 for 24hr.The oocytes (MII) were inseminated with sperm in T6 medium for fertilization and development of 2-cells stage and they were investigated under inverted microscope. Data analysis was performed by using Chi- 2 test. Results: In cumulus cell group and in the presence of insulin-like growth factor fertilization of oocytes, forming embryos and the formation of 2-cells compared to the group without cumulus cells significantly increased (p < 0.05). However, there is little information about the effect of high and low humidity on cardiorespiratory factor in obese children with asthma during progressive aerobic activity. Methods: The present case-control study was carried out with ten obese asthmatic children and fifteen healthy children who performed an exercise protocol in different environments (relative humidity 65 ± 5% versus 35 ± 5%). During exercise, cardiorespiratory parameters were controlled using K4B2. Heart rate, systolic blood pressure and double product were measured with a digital sphygmomanometer and stethoscope polar. Data were analyzed with dependent T test and ANOVA with repeated measures analysis. Results: A significant increase was detected in the markers of HR, SP and DP after exercise in obese children with asthma and healthy children (P< 0.005). However, indexes of cardiorespiratory and exhaustion was significantly higher in obese children with asthma and healthy during exercise in the environment with 65 ± 5% relative humidity, as compared to 35 ± 5% relative humidity.
