Identifying the personality building of individuals and adopting appropriate patterns is also of considerable importance. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between personality traits and psychological well-being with mediation as the role of forgiveness. Methods: The present research was a descriptive and causal correlation study. The statistical population consisted of all students of Yasuj University, among which 301 students (171 girls, 130 boys) were selected by multi-stage random sampling. The instruments used were Reiff Psychological Well-being Questionnaire (PVBS), NEO Personality Questionnaire (NEO) and Hartland Forgiveness Questionnaire (HFS). Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling (SEM). Results: The results showed that there was a significant relationship between personality traits (extraversion = p <0.01, r = 0.32), agreement (p <0.01), r = 0.33, openness to experience (p <0.01), and conscientiousness There was a positive and significant relationship between psychological well-being and psychological well-being (r = 0.41, r = 0.41, r = 0.41, r = 0.41). Also, the results showed that the relationship between forgiveness (forgiveness R = 0.27, r = 0.27, r = 0.27), forgiveness in position (r = 0.20, r = 0.23) was positive and significant with psychological well-being. The results obtained from structural equation modeling also indicated that the path coefficient of features Personality to psychological well-being (β = 0.33) and forgiveness for psychological well-being Β = 258/0 is significant at the level of p≤0.01. Also, the results of indirect relations, the role of forgiveness mediators and the significance of these relationships have been confirmed. Conclusion: Personality traits were directly and indirectly related to forgiveness with psychological well-being.
